i understand ntpd does not jump the time (unless you use ntpdate). so, i think it may be okay.
just my 2 cents.

Nitass,
In exemple.
P:Active] ~ ntpq -p ntpq: read: Connection refused [f0117867@vipriongtmltm02:/S1-green-P:Active] ~ clock Wed 03 Sep 2014 03:21:12 PM BRT -0.001129 seconds [f0117867@vipriongtmltm02:/S1-green-P:Active] ~ date Wed Sep 3 15:37:22 BRT 2014 [f0117867@vipriongtmltm02:/S1-green-P:Active] ~

ntpq: read: Connection refused
is ntpd running?
root@(ve11a)(cfg-sync In Sync)(Active)(/Common)(tmos) show sys service ntpd ntpd (pid 12865) is running...

this is because I have to release my firewall, but I want to observe the difference in time. My question is if I enable NTP if I can impact my environment for having established connections.
- nitassEmployeei understand it won't but i do not have real experience. you may see what other guys here say.
