Edit UCS
Dears kindly how to open ucs file via notpad and edit and return it back

it is normal tar file. in windows, i use 7zip to extract it.
an UCS file contains more then just one text file so opening it as a whole into notepad won't work.
you can use for example 7zip or on linux tar -zxpf to extract it and then make modifications in the file you want to change.

A UCS file is a tar.gz archive in disguise. You may unpack it with your archiver program of choice and view the files contained within. If you modify any configuration files, you can re-pack the archive and use it like the original UCS file, just be sure to rename it to .ucs if your archiver names it *.tar.gz.
