EdgeClient 2.0.5 on Android does not support external logon

We are using an external logon page on BIG-IP APM to delegate the authentication to a cloud service. On iPhone, EdgeClient works as expected in Web Logon mode: the redirection to the external logon page happens and the user is able to authenticate. Once authenticated, the user is redirected back to BIG-IP and the session is authenticated.

 

With EdgeClient on Android however, the client immediately fails with and authentication error ("Logon denied. Please check your username, password and client certificate and try again") before the redirection to the external logon page is taking place. This happens only with version 2.0.5 on Android (the previous version 2.0.4 was working fine as on the iPhone).

 

Have you encountered this issue? What in 2.0.5 was introduced that could break external logon (on Android only)?
