Difference between X-Forwarded For configuration on Http profile and irule X-Forwarded For

Hi team,

 

can any one help us to understand the difference between X-Forwarded For configuration on http profile and irule. We have notice for some applications configuration on irule is extracting client IP and for other applications configuration on http profile is extracting client IP.

    Suresh, I don't believe there is any difference in the two configurations.

    If I may add, fundamentally the end result is the same. Many GUI features, and indeed some of the product modules are a direct result of popular iRules written by and for the community to solve otherwise complex (or in this case simple) tasks. The HTTP profile's XFF option does the exact same thing an iRule would do.
