NimbostratusDevice host name rename after adding to F5 HA group.
I have configured F5 Active and standby farm with two nodes F51a and F5b as host names. Now I want to see how easy it is change the host name on F51a to F5a. 1.Can I simple go the server and change the host name and reboot? 2.What happens to the device trust t and other HA configuration?
3.What will get broken? 4. Can i just update the host name and level it whit old device group config. Even though will not update the trust relation. Will LTM module still work. What is the best way to handle this situation? Regards SP

When renaming devices in an HA pair, the device trust will need to be reset.

1. force-offline standby device
2. set both device to standalone
3. modify hostname
4. re-set HA
5. release offline standby device
