NimbostratusSince I had such luck with my first posting, I'll try again. Is there a deployment guide for using Blackboard v7 on IIS6 with F5 LTM? Blackboards "selective" SSL settings are giving me fits. I'm wondering if I'll have to put certs on my webservers (nodes) as well as a cert on the F5 to get https that doesn't loop but gets balanced. Again, any help will be appreciated.
NimbostratusMy bad, it was Safari that started causing our connection overload, and this was quite a way back. So far no issues with FF 27 (so far...) Our solution was to create an iRule which intercepted preview requests and sent a thumbnail jpg instead of polling the BB server. The JPG was stored as an iFile on the F5...

CumulonimbusIt's basically just the Apache HTTP server, plus Tomcat, so it's fairly easy to get it work with some basic configurations. See http://www.f5.com/pdf/deployment-guides/f5-apache-dg.pdf . For auxiliary services, a virtual server with a simple TCP or "Performance (Layer 4)" type will work.
