deploying bigip ltm with nsx
I am trying to install F5 bigip on NSX. I am stuck at network configuration. NSX doesn't have vlan, it has vxlan. ltm requires that I configure vlan on an interface and then define a self ip using this. I can configure vlan with any random id but the self ip is failing to ping the VM. Any help with this is appreciated.

Jaked,
please take a look at f5.com/sddc
You will find a Design Guide that will assist in making decisions on which network topology for an F5 BIG-IP with NSX is best for your environment.
You will also find a Best Practices Guide which will give you step by step guidance on configuring NSX and BIG-IP to bring the chosen topology to fruition.

Thanks for the response, but how do I configure self ip and other basic network configuration with vxlan ?

Jaked,
While it is technically possible to configure the BIG-IP to be a VXLAN VTEP (Virtual Tunneling End Point), it is recommended that you configure the F5 + NSX environment as per the Design and Best Practices Guide. (That's why I wrote them :)
If you choose to configure VXLAN on the BIG-IP you can refer to this section in the Implementations Guide to understand the steps to do so. https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_ltm/manuals/product/tmos-implementations-11-4-0/10.html
As an aside you can, (and many large customers who are using NSX do) utilize VLANs for all the network segments within an NSX environment. VXLAN is not a requirement for an NSX environment, but rather an optional feature.
