Nimbostratuscve-2015-8240-can it be fixed with an iRule?
This is the latest security issue released on some versions 11.5.3 (hf2)

Just wondering once we get more information if a work around can be done using iRules?

It does not look to be possible to work around this with an iRule.
Your best fix is to upgrade to 11.5.4. Note that 11.5.4 replaced the 11.5.3 train - there will not be another 11.5.3 hotfix release.
