Customise LTM / GTM error messages to display as red text on white bakground
Hi All,
I have a query which originated from a customer. Although I'm a very rrecent participant to F5, I have searched through what I think is all useful information relating to error message customisation. Although this seems effortless with APM and perhaps other platforms; the abilty to do so within LTM and GTM has eluded me. - Does anyone know of some settings I might have overlooked? - If not, is it possible I could easily achieve this with an iRule? I'm happy to struggle a little, so if nothing else - a pointer in the right direction for this newbie would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Dave

Hi Dave
For some of our customers who only want basic error messages we use the below in an iRule:
when HTTP_REQUEST { HTTP::respond 503 content "This website is currently unavailable. Please contact our helpdesk on (123) 1234 5678" }This however isn't very attractive and is just a line of text inside most web browsers. I would suggest instead redirecting to an external service or a different internal server that only serves static contact with a nicer error page.
I hope this helps. James
