Current F5 BIG-IP VE trial Version March 2017

Hello All,

 

I've requested a few 90-day F5 Trial license keys and last I checked the version to be running for the Trial license was v11.3.0 however, when I attempt to license the product I'm receiving the following error:

 

Unable to grant license key: Error 51136, F5 registration key is not compatible with the detected version - This software version, "11.3.0" cannot be activated with this registration key "JQGXOPT-TXQWQNF".

 

I've searched through the F5 Downloads for a VE version with "trial" in the name under the 11.3, 11.6.1 and 12.x repositories and have not found one.

 

Can someone please post a link to the correct VE to be running for the current Trial edition? I'm attempting to run the VE Citrix version off of Virtualbox.

    To Answer my own thread:

     

    • Grab the appropriate Image for your hypervisor here
    • If you're attempting to set this up on Virtualbox then you'll need the image for the Citrix Xen Server: BIGIP-12.1.2.0.0.249.ALL-ide.ova
    • Finally, to get the machine up and running without errors follow the post written by wojtek001 on this thread in addition to the rest of the thread instructions
    • I was able to get my machine up and running without licensing errors using Virtualbox with the 90 day trial key this way
