This CR looks to be addressed in 9.4.2. Not sure if you can upgrade to that or not, but the CR notes show that it was verified fix in that release. The CR notes also show an entry from 10/26 that show a merge of this fix was checked into 9.3.1.
As for capturing auth cookies, your client application will have to have access to the response HTTP headers, store that cookie value, and then re-add it to the request. Most client toolkits (ie, .Net, Axis, etc) do not have this built in and you have to override some code to be able to do it. That might be a good feature to put in the iControl Assembly someday B-).
Anyway, I'm not sure what the status of 9.3.1 is, but you might look into that. Refer to CR 83311-1.
