Mar 01, 2016Core upgrade on vcmp guest cluster
Hi,
We have four Viprion 2400 chassis, each with 1 B2250 blade installed. They are running stand alone Each blade has 4 vcmp guests. Each vcmp guest is running in an active/standby cluster over all four B2250 blades. The vcmp guests are running 11.5.3HF2, with LTM and ASM provisioned and 2 processor cores in use. Now i have to deploy APM on one of the clusters, so i have to add 2 processor cores to each vcmp guest in that cluster.
I think of doing it like this:
- Put the standby cluster member into provisioned mode
- add 2 processor cores
- Put the updated cluster member into deployed mode repeat this for all passive members in the cluster
- perform a failover to a passive member
- Put the standby cluster member into provisioned mode
- add 2 processor cores
- Put the updated cluster member into deployed mode Does anyone have experience with this ad is this the right way to do this?
After that i have to provision APM in the same way ..
Thanks in advance,
Henk.
