CONFIRMING LOAD BALANCING ON A POOL RUNNING ON PORT 6100 (TCP)

Please can anybody put me through how i can confirm whether servers that i configured in a pool running on port 6100 (tcp) is balance loading. For example, i know that if it is configured on port 80 (http), i can simply type the vIP on the browser and confirm but how do i do this on TCP.

  • If it is a standard or fastl4 virtual without an application profile, you could try a telnet to the port for very basic connectivity testing. Then use "tmsh show sys connection cs-client-addr " on your Big-IP to see if this connection is shown as established and determine the pool member it was balanced to.
