Configuring a 3rd F5 device in (sync-Only) mode to be utitilized at Diastery Recovery Site

All devices are on the same network, however is a DR sernario the 3rd device will become the only device online. I was informed that this box needs to be configured in the "Sync-Only" mode...Need assistance.

    Is this version 10? Or v11? If v11 is it 11.4 or earlier?

    Well... You have more options than v10.

     

    I have implemented this with sync-failover and using an HAGroup to ensure that the DR box doesn't takeover the service UNLESS it detects something that tells it your'e IN DR (For this network it was access OUT form the DR network to the regular network. If it was able to access then the DR took over. If not, the DR was still isolated and wouldn't go active).

     

    However HAGroups are a bit of a pain... In 11.4 you can just specify the devices in the order you want them to be used. Just list the DR box as the last one in the sequence...
