COMPRESSION & RAMCACHE don't play well together

We've had an outstanding issue for quite some time now and I was hoping someone here can shed some light on maybe something that isn't configured properly. Our F5's have both RAMCache and Compression - when we turn both of them on, we find that our Cache has up to 30-40 copies of an item instead of two (1 compresses & 1 not compressed). It looks like RAMCache is using a variety of keys to cache the content and COmpression is making the key unique almost to each request (thus invalidating the purpose of RAMCache).

 

 

Is there a configuration setup that will allow both of these items to be used together without hurting the other? Ideally, we should only have two items in cache for each object (a compressed one and a non-compressed one) - your thoughts are greatly appreciated!
