Is there a way to publish policies via the command-line interface?

I believe that policy editing and publishing is done only via the GUI. What were you looking to do from the command line? - rb1980_75708

j,
Since we have 4 WA's running in central/asymmetric configuration, I started thinking about how we were going to keep their configurations synchronized. I put together a little perl script on our "master" box (where we will make all our config changes) that dumps the SCF, makes the relevant IP changes, and copies it over to the other machines and loads it. This is working fine (minus the little missing monitor bug we already spoke about) but it occurred to me it would be handy to be able to also trigger a policy publish from this script at the same time, so that we know all 4 boxes are 100% in sync. - Joseph_Hicks_36

Rb1980,
WebAccelerator doesn't require you to manually synchronize policies. This happens automatically (and securely) if you have set them up in a cluster. The SCF stuff and the other changes can and still should be done via CLI, but the policies keep themselves in synch no matter what box you edit and publish them on. You will need to make sure that you add them to a cluster deployment. Follow the procedure for creating a symmetric deployment in section 3-15 of the WebAccelerator Admin Guide.

Thanks, hicks. I understand that the policies are sync'd once they're published, and I already have the clustering set up. Was just wondering if there was a non-gui way to publish from a script, that's all. Sounds like not. No biggie. (but would be a nice feature in a future release, hint hint) - Joseph_Hicks_36

Hint received. I will target this for the release after the next major one. I wish I could be more specific here, but can't. We can talk offline if needed.
