Cisco VSS (Virtual Switch) and LTM

If I'm not wrong, two 6500 switches with VSS will behave like a single switch, isn't it? If you connect one LTM to each switch it would be like connecting them to a single one, it makes no big difference, as long as both can "see" each other on an IP basis.
