Cisco Discovery Protocol v2 from Nexus 6004 directly connected to 10200v
Hi,
I've been noticing an increasing number of dropped packets on my trunked 40Gb interfaces (vPC criss-crossed to Nexus 6004's)
I am quite sure I have narrowed it down to CDPv2 packets (Cisco Discovery Protocol) ... has anyone else noticed CDPv2 packets being dropped when directly connected (they are not forwarded) to a Cisco device (preferably Nexus 6K)
I've read (http://www.rhyshaden.com/cdp.htm) that devices that only support CDPv1 will drop v2.
If anyone has come across this, and can offer any advice it would be appreciated - I'm not a fan of my drop counters increasing ....
Thanks Jason

Awesome, I am the first to answer a question - just happens to be one of my own.
I just found this SOL13142 which leads me to turn off CDP http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/13000/100/sol13142.html?sr=39269537
Don't know why I didnt find that SOL the first time I looked ....
Yes, CDP is Cisco proprietary; F5 wouldn't recognize them and would drop.
