cannot ping f5 selfip

i have setup f5 ltm trial on vmware.

 

Everything looks good.

 

Problem is i cannot ping the web servers from the f5 ltm and vice versa using the selfip

    You may want to check the interface on your webservers to see if they're being natted. Are you using VMware player?

    Sounds like the interface that the vlan that the self-ip is attached to is not in the same broadcast domain as the webservers

    Can you tell us the full self IP? Based on what you have above, it seems as if your self IP and servers are in different subnets.

    Hi,

     

    You cant ping the self IP address untill the webservers subnet and LTM self address are in same broadcast domain.
