Cannot access device after hotfix update

I have 2 Viprion boxes in HA running 11.5.1 HF2, I made an update to the standby box for 11.5.1 HF3, booted into the new boot location running HF3, and suddenly lost access to the box. by access i mean (root,admin and external admin user access).

 

What could be the cause and possible fix for this?

    did you activated the license before upgrade , if not config may not load , i would suggest better open support case with F5 to identify the root cause

     

    To roll back use switchboot command from console and boot with previous partition

    Before performing any F5 code upgrade, make sure that the “Service Check Date” on the device is AFTER the License Check Date for the new code version as listed here in K7727

     

    cpcfg to the new code version location – Example: cpcfg HD1.2

     

    Although “cpcfg HD1.x” has worked most of the times, I would recommend backing up the .UCS file in a remote location and also saving a copy in “/shared/tmp/“. After saving the UCS file in the “/shared/tmp/” location, you can utilize “load /sys ucs no-license” to load the configuration as noted in K12880
