can we install Hotfix in advance and later activate partition?

I am trying to minimize downtime windows to install hotfix. Can i install hotfix iso on volume in advance and later activate partition. Just trying to understand there is not impact on F5 when ins...

That is correct. No impact until you boot the unit into that partition.
