Can I run platform Diagnostic without impacting system services

IHAC and we replaced one of the DC power supply for F5 4000 series appliance. Apart from tmsh show sys hardware, I also want to run platform Diagnostic for Paltform ID C115.   Can I run platform_...

You can run this test when the F5 is processing traffic, but not all tests are executed. If you want a full check, you need to stop the services.

 

Article https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_ltm/manuals/product/f5-plat-diagnostics/2.html gives some more information. The tool is used for checking hardware so you can see if you need to run the EUD for more details.

 

The articles mentions nothing on performance impact when running the test. But if you do not want to take any risk, run it in a service window.
