Can F5 use script to restart services on pool member?

Hi everyone

 

If possible , we need F5 to restart services of pool member when F5 monitor those pool member down (beside send mail alert).

 

Can F5 use script (or something else) to restart/start services on pool member?

 

Is it possible?

    If you want to trigger that directly, you might have a chance by using a sideband connection from within your iRule. That might for example call an external REST API or something like that. See here for details.

     

    You might also think about doing this indirectly by using the syslog event which will be generated by the BigIP when the monitor goes DOWN as a trigger on an external management station.
