  • Are you trying to connect via the management interface? I thought you had to use a tmm interface Self IP with BIG-IQ?

If you are using a tmm interface, I'd suggest you check the Port Lockdown settings.

  • java.lang.Exception: Discovery Failed. You must update the device's framework before you can manage it., at

error now also you were right it wants self ip not management to bigiq.

  • OK, progress at least. Did you confirm your Port Lockdown settings are not an issue?

  • Are you using the default SSL cipher suite on the management interface of the device. We lock ours down to TLS1.2 and I have confirmed that BigIQ cannot negotiate any higher than TLS1.0 for some reason.

  • port lockdown was not the issue. It was the management interface since i give self ip and portlockdown to allow all on self ip bigiq starts to communicate with bigip.

I have alot of errors on on java log of bigiq. It says not active device etc. to many errors.

Is this solution stable release with all bigip versions?

Sorry, can you clarify what your issue was, I can't work it out from your response. What version of TMOS is running on the BIG-IP device please?
