bigip.conf always reflect current state ?

/config/bigip.conf

 

does this file always reflect the f5's current config ?

 

in other words , is this file immediately updated upon making a config change , either via web admin console ( including click "Update" ) , or via icontrol api ?

    It may not alwasy reflect the current config. The "running" config has been a file ever since the 9.4.x days. If you make a change in the web gui, then bigip.conf is updated immediately and the config is saved. If you make it from the cli, then bigip.conf is not changed until you run the "tmsh save sys config" command.
