Hi all, I believe it used to be the case that an upgrade (and possibly hotfix install) would remove any custom user-defined BigDB settings. Is that still the case? I suspect not as some settings end up in the bigip_sys.conf file but would like to confirm. Thanks

Hey Steve,
All custom DB settings should be preserved during an upgrade now. You could test your upgrade on a VE and do a diff of the db settings to confirm. If there are any missing settings, it should be considered a bug.
And I saw you updated your book. I'm looking forward to finding some time to read through the updates!

Thanks Aaron ,what version did that change in please? Also, are they rolled forward with configs between partitions (I guess yes).
Cool (and thanks for buying). I've added quite a bit, a fair bit is just reference material but lots of corrections and other bits; it's a much better book for it. The LTM book is due very soon too, exciting times.
