NimbostratusBig-IQ Discover Guest Instance of Viprion (VCMP)
Hi F5 team,
It is possible to discover the Guest Instance of Viprion VCMP.
We try to discover the Management IP address of VIPRION. "Successfully discover"
We try to discover next the VCMP GUEST Instance 1 and 2, but error occurs "frameworks need to update" - during the the discovery of 1 and 2 Guest Instance, we already update the frameworks.
here are the details before discovery of 2 guest intance: Under CLI of Big-IQ: -ssh-copy-id root@ -cd /usr/lib/dco/packages/upd-adc -./update_bigip.sh –a admin –p
Here the details of Hardware Setup:
-Big-IQ 4.5.0: Platform (Big-IP 7000) -already have NTP server
-Big-IP 12.0 Platform (Viprion 2400+B2150) details: Configure 2 VCMP GUEST -already have NTP server

If you upgrade to BIG-IQ 4.6 (or later) there is an option at BIG-IP discovery to Ignore the framework check. It was added for this exact situation.
Goldz_180077Hi Kyle, On version 4.5, we have an option if you want to check or uncheck the framework update. that's your point to ignore the check? we need also to see the inventory of the discover device. thanks! Goldz- Kyle_OliverIn 4.6, a special "ignore framework check" option was added. The problem is, BIG-IQ always believed the guest needs a framework update, even if it does not need it. In 4.5, you should be able to check the update framework box in the discovery job and it should complete. It will just push the framework again.
