BIG-IP Management Interface Not Responding
Hi Everyone, I'm not sure the title is the best for the situation am having but I'll do my best to describe it.
I have a 1600 box that needs to be reactivated. I setup the management IP and other settings via the LCD and expected to connect to the management port and point my browser to it. I have done everything that should be done, yet, the web interface is not coming up. The device is on the network. It's responding to pings. I could even SSH into it and login with the admin user ( unfortunately, I don't have the root password so am limited to Admin level).
I resorted to resetting the entire system by going through the console, unfortunately, the console port is not responding, as in, it is detected by the Terminal Emulator am using to connect but I couldn't get a login prompt that indicates successful connection.
Please help. What else can I do???
Thanks

try in command line 'bigstart restart httpd' & 'bigstart restart tomcat', hope that admin account wont stop you running this command
if still GUI doesn't come up, look for logs in "/var/log/httpd/"

Thank you Ajay. Unfortunately, you have to be in the "root" prompt to run those commands and that's while I'm plugging into the console to reset the system because I don't have the root password. - Mike_P__194875

Thanks Ajay. I had this same problem and was able to login as root and fix it with your commmands.
