BIG-IP Edge client disconnects after authentication and Finalizing then disconnected again

My BIG-IP Edge client on windows 10 has not been able to connect me on this my laptop for 3 weeks now. It was working before but all of sudden stop working. But with same login details i can connect in other laptops except this mine. I can't figure out what has changed and i have not installed anything since that time. Below is the error where it is failing:

 

Error 2018-01-26 6:38:21:715 HOST \HostCtrl.h, CHostCtrl::~CHostCtrl(), stopServer() COM call failed, -2147352567 . . . Error 2018-01-26 6:38:22:721 HOST \proxy.cpp, CHostCtrl::ProxyClose(), Close() failed, -2147352567

    The behavior you are describing may be related to the client proxy settings

     

    If you configured the client proxy settings and the proxy server is not reachable from the BIG-IP.

     

    I would suggest to check DNS and Network connectivity settings for VPN users.

      I have deleted the route and reintall the client.

       

      Still disconnecting. below is the current error:

       

      CStandaloneDoc::OnOpenSessionFailed, Open Session Failed, Cancelled, 0xffffffff800704c7

  • After deleting all the route that was added in ip route table, then restart my system and then connect and it connected successfully.

  • Hi Pailnewman,

     

    Can you tell me from where you deleted the routes. Even i am facing the same issue. When i connect to BIG IP Edge Client, after entering me correct credentials it again gets disconnected automatically.

  • I have the same issue. Can we get an update on where to remove routes so it will stop disconnecting Wifi internet connection.

      Hi Walter,

       

      Looks like you need to remove route from your client machine using "route DELETE" command line.

       

      This behavior can also occurs if you are not able to reach your DNS servers, resolv the proxy pac or reach the web proxy server.

  • Good that Paulnewman solved the issue, but as a curiosity: Have you got the "Prohibit routing table changes during Network Access connection" ticked or unticked? It might be that if you got it ticked, a change on the routing table would drop the VPN connection as a security measurement.
