Tells me your license either hasn't been renewed recently or u didn't have support when 11.6.0 was released

Problem solved then. If you didn't have a valid support contract at the date that F5 decide, then it won't load that version.

Hi,
I am also facing similar issue, i tried upgrading from 11.5 to 11.6 ,, LTM 4000 and even i reactivate license from both GUI and cLI, prior to upgrade and verified it shows service check date as today, but after upgrade it gives license expired error and also the interfaces error, GUI is in accessible, when i revert back to 11.5 interfaces are up and gui works, below if the logs that i get not sure what else can be tried, as seems like the config gets removed after upgrade and it shows license in operative on cli.

Okay. I'm having a similar issue on a 1600 Strongbox running 11.4.1 GUI not accessible. License reactivation from command prompt shows: License is not operational (expired or digital signature does not match contents) Last Service check date was 2015-08-20 and I have no support contract active.
From the discussions above, seems the support Contract is the main cause of the license failure??
The command : load sys config base gave the following output:
admin@(bigip)(cfg-sync Standalone)(LICENSE EXPIRED)(/Common)(tmos) load sys config base Loading system configuration... /defaults/asm_base.conf /defaults/config_base.conf /defaults/low_profile_base.conf /defaults/policy_base.conf /defaults/wam_base.conf Loading configuration... /config/bigip_base.conf /config/bigip_user.conf 01070712:3: _identify_jobs_todo:(/Common/dtca-bundle.crt) :Failed: name (/Common/dtca-bundle.crt) No copy in trash-bin to restore from. - sys/validation/FileObject.cpp, line 3064 Unexpected Error: Loading configuration process failed.and the command load sys config default yielded this:
Unexpected Error: ltcfg error, can't load class, class:"password_policy" error: can't load class definition from mcpd. This is most likely the result of a failure to load the base system configuration. To determine the root cause enter "tmsh load sys config" and include the output when the issue is reported. Can we conclude from here that the absence of support contract is the issue here??
