Big-IP 6900 stuck at GRUB stage - no image to choose from
Big-IP 6900 stuck at GRUB stage. No image to choose from. It was a spare unit - used somewhere else before I started to work for my current company. I cannot find any article, finding mostly "how to reset you password" or "how to start in single user mode". But it's not the problem as I cannot run it at all What I see is this output:
GNU GRUB version 0.97 (625K lower / 3791752K upper memory)
[ Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists the possible completions of a device/filename.]
grub>
Any suggestions?

I found this from digging around devcentral, you can this:
Reboot - Esc+shift+9 to get the AOM menu, then select option 4 to bounce the AOM (and the host system as well). The system will go down to a POST and as it is doing the memory test, hit 'b'. This will get you to a boot action menu. Select "PXE boot" from this and make sure you have a PXE server set up. Alternatively you can just boot from a thumbdrive or DVD with a V11.x image on there. Perhaps that will get you going?
Do you have an active support contract for this unit? If you don't have its license file, nor a support contract, I'm not certain you would be able to properly run the system.
In any case, here is the documentation for creating a bootable USB thumbdrive.
