Big-IP 1600 series LTM firmware 9.x Clustered Multiprocessing benefits?

Running older HW-based 1600 series LTM units. Currently on firmware 9.4.x.

 

I want to make sure I'm understanding this article about K14358: Overview of Clustered Multiprocessing (11.3.0 and later) https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K14358

 

My understanding is that there are performance improvements to be gained on the 1600 series by upgrading to 11.3+ since TMM threads will run 2 threads?
