Hello, F5 currently does not provide devices for customers/partners to develop applications against. If there is an embedded address in one of the sample applications it was a remnant from development. Each of the applications is designed to specify an address of the device and credentials for access (userid, password).
We would be interested in your specifics (why you are learning iControl, etc). We are looking at ways to facilitate non-customers ability to develop and test applications without access to a device. Any feedback you can provide would be helpful to us in that endeavor.
We would also be interested in which demo application you are referring to that references userid "demo" and password "demo".
