Backup/restore archives configuration

Hi,

 

 

I have a Big-IP LTM 6800 with a 9.4.6 Firmware and I am trying to make a backup archive and restore it in a LTM 6400 9.4.6 Firmware but, although I can upload the archive, the configuration does not restore.

 

 

Does anybody know if I can restore configuration between different machines??

    If you want to restore the full config, you need to set the host name to the same as what the UCS was set on. See SOL3499 on AskF5 for much more info.

     

     

    You can check the hostname of the UCS in the SPEC-Manifest file (where backup.ucs is your UCS filename):

     

     

    tar xfz backup.ucs SPEC-Manifest; grep ^LOCALHOST SPEC-Manifest

    thank you Aaron, that was my problem, my machines had different management ips and different names. I changed them and it worked
