AWS iApp Auto Scaling With Multiple Route Domains

If this is not yet available natively, is there any way to modify the node as it is being passed by modifying the current aws iapp template, or applying an addition iapp template? I know one can potentially work around this with an irule that pulls from the pool, modifies the values, and then uses a node statement, but I want to avoid the expense and extra complications associated with this method if possible.
