Attack Signature Update Error

Hello Expert

 

I am trying to update attack signatures in ASM and getting error.

 

Service contract cannot be verified (Cannot handle state FAULT_RETURNED). Please re-license your installation of Big-IP manually.

 

The current signatures are very old. Please let me know the solution. I am afraid to re-activate the license, as box in active/passive and I am not sure what would happen after re-activate the license?

    I've not seen that error before to be honest. Re-activating the license is OK to do, in a maintenance window though. In fact it's the recommended step if you are planning to do an upgrade. It will restart services, hence the maintenance window, but that's all. Do it on the passive one first, once happy, failover and re-activate the new passive one.

    re-license is the best thing you can do, although like nathan mentions in maintenance window. although you could try to download them manually from the downloads.f5.com site.
