So by what you are saying, my variable would have different values each based on the specific session?

 

About your question on ASM and the policy, I wish :) It's a corporate standard applied on all ASM and they don't want to deviate for particular cases :/ That would be too simple.

Trust me buddy, I wish I could simply disable the rule/violation in ASM. Corp Sec won't let me.

 

About the HTTP_RESPONSE, we tried putting it only in the HTTP_REQUEST. Although this did the trick on the servers side, the client browser's address bar changed from http://10.10.10.10 to http://www.website.com, which caused all subsequent calls to the VS to use the URL, which is not good because those clients do not have DNS resolution for that URL (which is why they must go by IP). No, host files is not an option either (read your mind there).
