APM Lease Pool Monitoring
Hello,
I received an ask from an administrator inquiring if there is a way to configure an email notification to be triggered in the event that a lease pool for network access on the APM is running out of available addressing.
I'm still getting familiar with the APM, but I assume there would be a way to configure an iRule to check how many addresses are currently in use at the time of address assignment and fire off an email in the event that there are only - for example - 10 available addresses left in the lease pool.
Could anyone provide any example on how to script an iRule for this? Or is there a simpler way to perform this task?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated; thanks in advance!

This would typically be monitored in your NOC via SNMP, and is one of the things that everyone should be monitoring, along with disk, CPU, memory, interface stats, etc.
This particular stat is in the MIB: F5-BIGIP-APM-MIB.txt
Check in the section "Leasepool_stat" and see which stats work best for your use case, there are several options.
