APM Hosted files maximum size.

Hello,

I am creating an APM webtop with links to hosted content. I wanted to upload more than 1 GB of files to the hosted conent folder but i am unable to. I read an article saying that the maximum size of hosted conent is 1GB:

Max Hosted Files size variable

I am wondering if there is a way of extending this size? Or maybe some workaround? One thing i was considering is a simple link to some publicly available share with these files so they won't have to be hosted on bigip.

However i would like to controll the access to the for authenticated users in APM. Do you have a way to achieve this?

Regards

Asura

  • Host such a huge file in APM is definitely not a good idea.
You could host in a server publish with a new VS protected by APM and give access only to authorized users.

You could use multidomain sso feature to protect this new Virtual Server with the same policy you use for Portal. And publish also this new url as a link in Portal

So if anyone tries to reach this url without an APM session, will be redirect to your APM policy in order to authenticate.
After sucessfull authebtication he will be able to proceed with downloading.

Another Hint is that in multidomain sso your portal fqdn must be the primary one.
