APM automated installation of bigIP edge client
Hi All/DC Experts,
Do we have any irules, configuration which will satisfy this one.
Ex.
If the user connects to f5 vpn, f5 will automatically install the edge client.
Anything that is related, any suggestion, any experience on this.
Thanks,

There is nothing built into the product that will accomplish this today.
I assume you are wanting this to be completely seamless to the client? I'm not sure that browser security controls would allow this to happen.
Your best bet is to either redirect them to an instruction page where they can download and install the Edge Client.

Hello Nat,
I think the automatic installation is not the right approach. this may cause unwanted effects. And in this case you have to check if the device is a Mobile, MACOS, Windows, LINUX... Aditional, user have to have right on his device...
What I did for one of our clients is to detect client type (edge client or Browser) and if the user uses his browser we can assume that he did not have the client installed and provide him a ressources (hosted content with edge client). And it is for him to decide whether he wants to install it or not More you can detect the user os and provide the right edgeclient according OS client. This approach let the user install the client manually according these rights...
a little advice, if you want to give full VPN to our users It is important to control the user's devices (compliant or not). should not fall into the cases, where user connect full vpn from a cybercafe for example... and can spread viruses or leak information...
Let me know if you whant more explanation. Regards
