ALL vs LTM ESX OVA Download?
Hi
I'm looking to install LTM and GTM VE's on ESX and am looking to download the file. However, when I go to the download page there are a couple of OVAs to download, these are ALL and LTM. The ALL image is slightly larger than the LTM image but I cant find what the difference between the files is and so which one I should download.
Any help or clarificaiton would be appreciated.
Thanks
Malcolm

Malcolm - I believe it's what modules can be provisioned on the VE, so LTM OVA will be just LTM. If you need GTM to be provisioned then you'll need ALL OVA.
Hope I'm right on this.

Hi Nathan
Thanks for the reply. So it sounds like the best approach would be to use the ALL OVA as that way I'm covered if I ever want to change whats provisioned.
Thanks

FWIW, I always manually create a VM and install from the ISO... The OVA is just a pre-installed version with a HDD image (vmdk) and a descriptor file (OVF) that tells VMWare what sort of VM to create...
If you create your own, you can for example install on as large a HDD as you like. You can grow the disk later, but it never used to be supported, and was always a bit of a PITA, and I always used to run out of space on the OVA versions way too easily.
