NimbostratusAdvance Firewall Manager at Viprion 2400
Hi All,
I am new to Big IP 2400 Viprion platform . need a kick start for the following features on Viprion2400 .
1- Firewall Policy through AFM 2- Intrusion detection and prevention Through AFM 3- DDOS protection through AFM 4- Visualization ( could i divide this box on twao virtual boxes
Platform 2400 with 2100 blade Code Version 11.3
Sample configuration for the following topology is highly appreciated. Sample topology
Ixia/Breaking point port Client 10.1.1.2----------10.1.1.1-Viprion2400 --10.2.1.1------ 10.2.1.2Server Ixia/Breaking point

I'd suggest you speak to your F5 VAR, partner, reseller or whomever is most appropriate. What you're asking for is probably time consuming and a bit like consultancy. Technically however;

2: AFM isn't an IDS/IPS

El_JefeZeeshan, I would recommend going to 11.4 for AFM as there are several advantages especially on a VIPRION platform with AFM. We have used Ixia / Breaking Points to showcase DDOS prevention and throughput. With the exception of the IDS / IPS, we can do that no problem.
