Adding a Script to an LTM for automating certain tasks during outages
Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows how to write a script for an LTM that will change a VIP ip to a temporary ip address and then another script that would set it back to the original ip address? We have sorry servers that get manually brought on line using the same VIP's as the Main VIP pointing to the major website servers. We actually change the address for bothe VIP's manually during a major outage. I want to automate the procedure it's 4 VIP's and 3 sorry servers. I think that explains it. Any thoughts? Hello,
In the latest release, 11.4, you can use iCall script for that. iCall can play tmsh commands that will make changes on the configuration.

You could use an iCall or simple user_alert.conf syntax to do this, though the iCall is much more flexible. Here's an example iCall configuration:
