Add software image checksum method in System SoftwareManagement?

I wrote an iControl script to automate BIGIP software installation, everything works fine, but there is lack of iso checksum method from iControl, so I have to invoke ssh login to bigip to run md5sum command to checksum the iso image in my script before the script start the iso installation, the md5sum command could take couple of seconds to slow down my script and I also need ssh related module in my script, I would like to do everyting in iControl, no ssh login at all. Could we provide such iso checksum method in iControl?
