active/active LTM deployment on different subnet

Hi there,     I am thinking about active/active LTM deployment which each LTM is located on different data center and using different subnet. I mean not using GTM at all.     For example ...

Yes, this is no GTM.

 

 

Actually, it is just an idea I think it could be possible. Anyway, I have not had a chance to test it in lab (and it may not be applicable for testing since lab has limited resource). So, I would like to know if there is anybody having done it before or having something I missed.
