Cirrostratusit all depend on your application does it need persistence or not as you said they are totally different applications under same domain.

NoctilucentLike mentioned, its purely on the application behavior, How does your app behave when it traverses across VIP's or domains. Does it throw out the session (it probably should).
You would need your app team to test these and post that you can come to conclusion to apply persistence or put some other logic.
