i have two pools pool_a with 2 nodes (Master servers) in it & pool_b with 1 node (Backup server) in it. When my pool_a is offline i need my pool_b to be up i need to fulfill this condition.
How can i gain this please suggest.

Hi Atultilekar,
you don't need to write iRules to check the availability of your two master servers and finally switch to the backup system.
It would be much more elegant, to just put all nodes into the same pool, in combination with priority group settings, as outlined in the chapters "Priority group number" and "Priority-based member activation" of this guide...
