2 GTM across different Data Centers

Hi,

 

We are planning to deploy twin DCs and we want to have 1 GTM at DC-A and 1 GTM at DC-B. GTM will act as a DC selector through DNS.

 

I would like to know what will happen if we synchronize them? they will act in an active/passive fashion or in an active/active way, so both GTM will reply to DNS requests?

    They would both be active and will be configured as NS records in the zone, but they will work as a synchronised pair in that they will agree which device will monitor which objects and exchange configuration and state information.

     

    To answer your question directly, they will act as active/active and both reply to DNS requests in the same manner.
