10.2.4 and virtualbox 4.2.6

I got a copy of 10.2.4 up and running, licensed and hotfixed to the latest running on virtualbox. management interface works fine, webadmin attaches and runs fine. problem is that the internal and external are not showing up in the system | interfaces area - its blank. if i do an ifconfig i can see internal and external there with the ip addresses i assigned along with the mgmt.

 

if i look at the interfaces with tmsh, it shows only the mgmt interface.

 

problem is that i cant get my virtual web server to be able to ping the internal interface or vice-versa. i tried bridged, internal and host-only but no luck.

 

 

wondering if its a tagged vs untagged problem? my web server is untagged. any help is greatly appreciated, im running out of ideas.
