Hello, Any clue to read the email address of a user created on local database as this email address is required to send the OTP to it, I know that there are ready template and the user can enter his email address on the login page, but we need the OTP to be sent to the email address of the user who try to login it it is easy if the user is created on AD right? so we can query the AD for that attribue but when can be done if the user on local database?61Views0likes3CommentsEvent log soap[22458]

Under System -> Logs -> Local Traffic, I have several entries like LogLevel:info Service:soap[22458] Event:src=127.0.0.1, user= I precise there is nothing after user :) Anyone can explain me what it means and if it is possible to filter these entries? Very new to BIG-IP. I have downloaded the BIG-IP VE and imported it into VirtualBox. Followed the basic configuration mentioned here https://f5.bravais.com/s/vf4XckakhbTbCRUwa2sb I created an APM access policy to use AD. But is there any way to test it? Some internal URL which simulates the real world behavior? As I am on VBox, any virtual server I create, is directly accessible from local. How do I get BIG-IP into the picture?535Views0likes2CommentsCan newly created users with Administrator role log-in to BIG-IP even if there is remote authentication configured?
Hi All, This is actually a follow-up question from here: https://devcentral.f5.com/questions/can-i-assign-multiple-roles-in-a-remote-role-group-when-integrating-active-directory-with-big-ip It was indicated that local authentication and remote authentication cannot co-exist. If there is a configured remote authentication, log-ins will be directed to the remote authentication and only the default root (CLI) and admin (GUI) can log-in locally. My question is, if you create new users with an Administrator role locally, can it also log-in locally even if there is remote authentication configured? I just need to know because what if you disabled the default root and admin accounts, and then the remote authentication failed, then no one will be able to log-in locally to the BIG-IP system... Thank you.393Views0likes4Comments
